Hello parents.
Our first day of school was a success! Today we went on a scavenger hunt around the school to find important places that we need to be able to find like the music room, the washroom, the learning commons, the gym and the office. We were able to answer clues about each room to figure out where we were going next. We also showed Ms. Adamson all of the things that we know how to do like: write our name, write letters and write numbers. We drew her pictures to show her what we did on our summer vacation and some of us also wrote sentences about our pictures. We learned sign language to ask to go to the bathroom and to get water. Finally we did a sharing circle to tell all of our classmates our names and a little bit about ourselves. Lots of us made new friends and caught up with old ones.
Students, I am very excited to see you all again tomorrow!
