Today we did silent reading. In Math Grade 1s had a test about patterns where they had to fill in the missing spots. Grade 2s created their own increasing and repeating pattern to show the difference and then wrote the pattern rule. In writing Grade 2s took some free writing time where they could write about anything they liked. Grade 1s continued working with letters and their sounds. We also did some finish up of all the work that we have been working on all week. Mr. Rainbow (our assistant principle) came in for a visit and was happy to see everyone hard at work. In the afternoon we did some science and learned about our sense of smell. We listened to the story the Lorax which talks about what might happen if we don't respect our environment. Then finally we went to music at the end of the day!
